Thank you So are you a sinner?  😏😏 Do you lie, steal, fornicate/commit adultery, gossip, keep malice, betray people, or exhibit greed? If you answered yes to any options above newsflash, you may not be a sinner.  Often times when we talk about sin we talk about sin as an act like it happens in a vacuum. But nothing is born out of nothing. We can always trace things back to their origin. However, we treat sin like there is no cause and effect relationship to it. Let's go down memory lane, how did sin enter the world? Romans 5:12 (TLB)   Whe

A Christian must help in the community.

A Christian must help in the community. Ask yourself this question, "when last did I help someone that couldn't give me anything in return"?  I am not asking about obligatory giving or helping but genuine giving to someone directly or indirectly without getting anything in return. A kind of giving that is not inspired by an expectation of return but one that comes from the heart. Acts 20:35 (NIV) In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ' It is more blessed to give than to receive. " From someone that enjoys service and volunteer work, I can tell you that there is an unexplainable feeling of happiness that comes with helping people without getting anything in return. Even Jesus said it in the above verse, it is the truth.  I probably have some readers that are not very keen on the spiritual side of things or you may still be skeptical, let'

Worship is not a song or a mood, it’s a lifestyle

Worship is not a song or a mood, it’s  a lifestyle. Sometimes the song leader comes up and says "let's be in the attitude of worship'. It somehow connotes that worship is something we can turn off and turn back on whenever we please. It also sounds like a thing of convenience. In fact, many think that worship is slow paced music while praise is fast tempo music. In actuality, worship is neither a mood or a pace of the music. It is way beyond that, worship is a countenance towards life. I did some research on what worship means and I was able to find some definitions: To value and treasure God above all things To show strong feelings of respect or admiration To regard God in all we do To place God in top priority We can see that none of the above words mentioned anything about music or switching moods. They are all focused on "God above all things". This means that in all that we do, we must express our love and reverence for God. That is what w

Cut them off!

It's a new year, hallelujah we made it to 2019! I am so in love with the beginning of a new year. It is the beginning of many new things. I pray that this year,  you will be congratulated beyond your wildest dreams. Amen. 🙏🏾  So I saw a tweet this past week that talked  about the new year being an opportunity to cut "toxic" people out of your lives. The tweet got over 500 likes and a lot of people agreed in the comment session.. It got me thinking about this act of waiting till a new year to cut people off and go silent on them like they never existed. No explanations, nothing said.. However, contrary to this yearly ritual of cutting people off I think we should adopt a different approach this new year. The new year is a great opportunity to mend my broken relationships that is edifying for us. How long will you hold a grudge against your dad or mum? How long will you be mad at your ex? How long will you fake a smile at your neighbor? Really, how long? R
