Sex and celibacy guide for today’s Christian   by Selema Enang Celibacy wasn’t for him; it was for you. Celibacy wasn’t for her; it was for you. There are so many relationships and partners you’ve had that shouldn’t have crossed hello and hi. But sex isn’t letting you be great. I understand. But come out of hiding, celibacy is not by your might. It is not by your power. Rest in this. It is not by “ok Jesus I’ve been celibate for 1year, I got this.” Lol, the devil will start beating drum dear, that’s pride setting in. You’re about to break that one year vibe. Why is it so hard to be a Christian?

Why is it so hard to be a Christian? b y Marcelle Umar I never really understood what it meant when people said when you “find Jesus, you find freedom”. Being a Christian means being called to a higher standard, you have to put in extra effort to live right. Deny yourself of the “fun” stuff. Right? That didn’t sound like freedom to me. Now I’ve grown so much more in the word of God, my relationship with Jesus is stronger than it has ever been and I’ve never felt such freedom in my life. What I didn’t understand before, I now understand through all I’m experiencing. Nobody had to explain it to me. An excerpt from a book helped me put the feeling into words; “ Grace is freeing, it puts the burden to perform on God, rather than on the believer. Our Job is to believe while God does the work ”. There’s so much I want to say but I don’t have all my thoughts gathered yet. Yes, as Christians we are called to a higher standard and it might sound like a lot of wo

Who will make a better society?

Who will make a better society? Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. I thank you for even clicking my link, it means the whole world to me. I just want you to know that you matter to God and He is intentional about all the things that happen in your life. You are loved by a father that can never stop loving you. Check out my ost recent post for some encouragement as you go through the seasons of life here . This is a super short post to encourage some self- introspection about the future. As human beings, we have to continue to learn, unlearn and relearn. For many of us, the trajectory of life is graduate from school, get a good job, get married and have babies. Some of us made this decision ourselves why others got it shoved down their throats by their  African parents. Have we ever stopped to ask ourselves some questions about raising children? It is not about the cute Instagram pictures or saying oh I’m blessed with children. There is so much more to that. S

Sometimes you may not feel like He is with you as you go through life, but I want you to see His words for yourself. I believe these powerful words will help you hold on to God and not let go of Him throughout the phases you encounter. God loves you, you have to keep telling yourself this truth whenever you can. He is very intentional about you. Nothing that you experiences catches Him by surpris

The first five prayers apply to everyone while the others are subject to the seasons and situations we are in life (you'd notice the change in language). Please, feel free to stand in the gap for your friends and loved ones
