Prayers for intimacy with God

Hello everyone, thank you so much for clicking on my link. I appreciate you. If you have not subscribed to my blog, what are you waiting for? Click that subscribe button up there before I judge you. But really, welcome back and thank you.

So since the last blog post, I talked a lot about the love of Jesus and how we have been called into communion with him. Just like an earthly relationship, we spend time with our loved ones because we love them and enjoy their company. This is what our relationship with God is designed to be like. We spend time with him because he loves us and we love him back. The more we know of him through the Bible, the more we love him. If you need a wake-up call on how much God loves you that he gave Jesus, take a look at the book of Numbers. You will come into a deeper understanding of the love of Jesus. God is no longer angry with you, he expended his wrath on Jesus. He is always waiting for you to run into his loving arms.

Many people have written to me to express how much they want to draw closer to God and I believe so much in prayers. I know through prayers and yielding to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can learn to develop an intimate relationship with God.

I collaborated with a fellow lover of Christ to draw up 10 prayer points to pray for developing intimacy with God. I really hope these prayers opens you up to a different level in your relationship with God.

1. Dear Lord, you know how my end from the beginning please cause me to stay in your will.
2. Dear God, help me to keep my focus solely on you.
3. I can't run this race alone Jesus, please strengthen me.
4. I am young and feeble please guide me through every step of my journey.
5. Even as I serve you, God, please do not let me be an enemy to my self.
6. Help me oh God to understand the finished work on the cross through Jesus Christ.
7. Lord, please fill me with your spirit
8. Dear Jesus, Help me to understand your voice distinctively.
9. I pray that the eyes of my understanding be enlightened in Jesus name.
10. Help me to love others as you have commanded in Jesus name.

Amen.

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast  By Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun Hello, welcome to my blog. If you clicked on this link it’s either you’re fasting already or are planning to fast. The good thing is you’re planning to have an effective fast by seeking all the information you can get on this. I won’t waste much of your time and I’ll get into it. Don’ts of fasting -  Have a Transactional mindset : A long time ago I thought fasting was about doing something so God will bless you. This led to a string of disappointment because I never got what I wanted from him. After all, I deprived myself for God but He didn’t do his part. We must first understand that fasting is not to move God, it’s to help us align with the move he’s made. The bible says in Ephesians 1.3 (NKJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. God is always on our side, we need not deal with him on a transaction basis. We fast to tra

What does it mean to be complete in Christ?

What does it mean to be complete in Christ? When you look at yourself, what do you see? Do you see someone who is imperfect and lacking in many areas? Do you sometimes find yourself thinking these thoughts? God is angry with me. I’m too dirty and damaged for Him to accept me. Why would God want to be with me when I’m a hot mess. Let me give you a secret, it doesn't matter how you feel or what you think. All that matters is what God has said in His word. His word says you are Complete in Christ! You are whole! Nothing missing, nothing lost, nothing broken! This is not by your deeds or something you are on your own. This is because you're in Christ!  Are you in Christ? Colossians 2:9-10 (NKJV) For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead [a]bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all [b]principality and power. Colossians 2:9-10 (TPT) For he is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. 10 And our own completeness is now found in him . We are co

Prayers to know God's purpose over your life

Prayers to know God's purpose over your life  by Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog. It's good to have you here and I love the fact that you keep coming back every week. May God bless you and enlarge your coast. So today, I will be sharing some prayer points about coming into purpose with you. If you've followed me for a while now, you'd know that I'm passionate for every child of God to come into God's purpose for their life. With the consistent hustle and bustle of this world, finding purpose may be the last thing on our mind. I have also conversed with people that have become so uninterested in finding purpose because of the way it has been presented to them in the time past. I am a big advocate of seeking God and being submitted to Him, He will definitely direct your path into purpose. Here are 6 prayer points to help you know God's will for your life 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV) give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s w
